WE BELIEVE FOOD SHOULD BE A CELEBRATION, THE TYPE THAT BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER AROUND A TABLE FILLED WITH BEAUTIFUL DISHES, UNIQUE FLAVOURS, LAUGHTER AND LOVE. OUR ETHOS CENTERS AROUND FEASTING AND SHARING MENUS WITH THE BEST LOCAL PRODUCE AT IT’S HEART.

We often use traditional cooking techniques such as barbecuing directly over fire and slow smoking foods and combine these with contemporary flavours and concepts, serving on rustic platters and sharing boards to create a relaxed and memorable dining experience. We also love to incorporate wild and locally abundant foods into our recipes and change our food with the seasons.

We are a Yorkshire based business headed by husband and wife team, Morgan and Kate.

Morgan, owner and Head Chef, has a background in fine dining, training in Dublin and working in prestigious London restaurants for many years before striking out on his own. He’s spent the years since exploring different countries, cuisines and cooking techniques and has based the menus around providing abundant choice so you can build a menu that’s unique and personalised to your event.

Kate, owner and manager, will be on hand through the whole process from initial enquiry to being there on the day to guide and offer advice and oversee things wherever needed, with years of customer service experience and countless events experience she believes in offering a bespoke and personalised service so that you feel that you’re able to tailor your event however you wish and feel confident in your choices.

ETHICS

We pride ourselves on sourcing local, ethical and seasonal foods.  Yorkshire is the perfect home turf, producing some of the best that nature has to offer, from moorlands, farm pastures to rocky coastlines we have some incredible suppliers to choose from and beautiful produce to work with. Our suppliers include R&J Farmers and Butchers who champion our Yorkshire meats including our signature rare breed red tractor approved pork and our free range beef. Heslington Fine Foods who provide varied fresh produce, from their base on the outskirts of York. F R Fowler & Sons, one of the best fishmongers in the region for fresh sustainably caught fish.  We strive to use independent and local businesses for our other produce where we can. 

We are also passionate about building a sustainable and environmentally responsible business.  All our disposable packaging is recycled and biodegradable.  We try to reduce food waste wherever we can and keep the travelling distance of our supplies as low as possible.
